During the month of May, Unity Church is exploring the theme of BLESSING – the act of calling forth the deeper abundance and wholeness of life. Blessing acknowledges the holiness shining throughout this world, nestled within each of us and all around us. It peers beneath the surface of the ordinary, removes what Wordsworth called “the dust of custom,” cracks open the dry husk of our lives to reveal the bright and extraordinary seeds of love and wisdom nested in each day.
To encourage a wider sharing of the words of blessing, we have created this blog as a place where Unity members and friends can post blessings you have written or find a blessing when you need one. We hope you’ll both find and place here words of blessing that awaken, protect, bridge and offer safe passage. As John O’Donohue wrote: “A blessing is a circle of light drawn around a person to protect, heal and strengthen.” In the circle of this Blessing Well, we invite you to bring your buckets, to lower them into this community wellspring and to pull up the healing light of one another’s words.
